| This program originated from local people approaching us after they identified opportunities to start local businesses, providing services and products which are otherwise purchased elsewhere. Through this program we hope to stimulate the development of a local economy in the area. |  |
These businesses are different from the once supported by our Micro Finance program in that they are more expensive and therefore entails fund raising for each business in itself. The funds does not have to be paid back but the whole community have to benefit from the business either through access to these services and products at a lower cost than elsewhere available or through a percentage of the profit being paid to the local community representing body.
