Reparation of Canzibe hospital and surrounding clinics

In 2006 Transape was approached by the Green Cross in Holland, the original builders of Lwandile clinic, to see if we would be willing to repair the clinic. By end 2006 this project was completed. It basically entailed fixing of the overhang roof structure, painting, fencing and some other small repairs. Since then we have repaired and upgraded two more clinics.

hospital uograde 024 Since 2005 Transcape, through its close connections with Canzibe Hospitaland the doctors working there, became aware of the many needs for repairing and upgrading of the hospital itself. Since then Transcape has painted several buildings, bought new mattresses and bedding, build toilets and a roof shelter for the ARV Clinic, Installed Park Homes to be used as ARV Unit, Renovated the TB Ward (still in progress), replaced geysers, bought an ultra sound machine and many more.

TransCape has a good relationship with Canzibe Hospital management. Considering the immense task our government has to establish accessible health services in so many previously neglected areas, the budget available for maintaining and upgrading existing establishments is not much. This partnership with Canzibe Hospital once more proofs the value of Non Profit Organisations in developing countries.
